Congressman John Dingell Retires

Congressman John David Dingell, Jr., Democrat from the 12th District of Michigan, announced his retirement from Congress last week, after having served for 58 years.  At the time of his retirement, he had the longest uninterrupted Congressional tenure in US history.  For many years, he was Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee of the US House of Representatives.  Here is a picture of me with Chairman Dingell in 2008 when I was a fellow on the staff of his committee.
