Opening for UMich Director of Organizational Studies
ORGANIZATIONAL STUDIES. The University of Michigan College of Literature, Science and the Arts solicits applications for the Barger Family Professorship and Director of the Organizational Studies Program to begin September 1, 2010. The position will be as a tenured professor with a university year appointment. The search committee will begin reviewing applications on October 1, 2009 and will continue until an appointment is made. Senior organizational scholars from a wide range of disciplines and interdisciplinary backgrounds are suitable candidates. The Director will report to the Dean of the College of Literature , Science and the Arts and provide leadership for Organizational Studies which is a selective undergraduate interdisciplinary program in the College of Literature Science and the Arts. A commitment to excellence in interdisciplinary undergraduate education as well as outstanding organizational scholarship is essential. We seek scholars who have an active research program and teaching interests in organizational scholarship. Joint appointments with another unit such as sociology, psychology, economics, history, political science, anthropology are possible. Women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
